Brazil Post has issued the final eleven stamps in its 31-stamp Rio 2016 series.

Brazil Post has issued the final eleven stamps in its 31-stamp Rio 2016 series.

The latest stamps feature the Olympic and Paralympic mascots Vinicius and Tom, as well as showing Olympic and Paralympic sports - tennis, sailing, judo, modern pentathlon, beach volleyball, gymnastics, athletics, shooting, equestrian, hockey and Paralympic swimming.

The mascot stamps are the first Olympic and Paralympic stamps to be inscribed in Braille which, said Reinaldo Estevão de Macedo, president of the Brazilian Philatelic Federation, at the unveiling of the stamps, makes them 'rare and unique items'.

The final stamps were unveiled during the Brazilian Tennis Awards, close to the new Olympic Park. These new stamps now complete the 31-stamp set - in honour of the fact that the 2016 Brazil Games will be the 31st Olympiad.

The entire print run is 3.75 million stamps, priced at R$1.40. To purchase the stamps, visit the Brazil Post website.
