1. Stampex is over 60!
The national stamp exhibition celebrated its Diamond Anniversary in 2016, having first been held in January 1956.

2. It's the home of competitive philately 
Every Stampex event features a competition organised by the Association of British Philatelic Societies (ABPS) with hundreds of frames of exhibits on show, ranging from postal history to modern stamps, ephemera and postcards to classic line engraved issues.

3. Stampex is very 'rock n roll'!
The boyhood stamp collections of both John Lennon and Freddie Mercury were displayed at the Autumn 2016 event. 

4. It's got everything you need to build your collection
The country's top dealers, auction houses and societies can all be found at Stampex, giving visitors the chance to add all kinds of material to their stamp collection.

5. Stampex's home is steeped in history
The Business Design Centre, the home of Stampex, was originally opened in 1862 as the Royal Agricultural Hall and features a beautiful glass roof inspired by the Crystal Palace, which had been designed for the Great Exhibition of 1851.

6. Every visitor gets a free postcard
A free, limited edition postcard is produced for every Stampex, giving visitors a collectable souvenir to add to their collection.

7. It's FREE!
Admission to Stampex is completely FREE, giving you the chance to visit on multiple days and make the most of the four-day event.

8. Get the very latest GB stamps
Royal Mail launch a new set of stamps to coincide with every Stampex, giving you the chance to create first day covers and other souvenirs. 

9. You can bring the kids too!
The Kidstamps stand at Stampex offers fun activities, free stamps and booklets, and a fun kids' auction (on the Saturday), so make sure you bring the younger collectors along too.
