"Congratulations on holding the All About Stamps Competition as part of your Summer of Stamps, the ABPS has been pleased to be associated with it. You and your team and the exhibitors have responded promptly to the difficult circumstances the Covid-19 outbreak has placed organised philately and I congratulate all of you.

"The beauty of the one page competition is that it is an opportunity for all to tell their friends what they find causes them to collect. In nearly all the instances we have seen this year, it is to tell a story and the vast majority have laid out their tale attractively and in a way that draws the viewer in."

The competition has attracted entries from around the world on subjects as varied as Lewis Carol, the liberation of the Channel Islands, and Asian comics. You can see all the entries here.

Stamp Collector editor Matt Hill said:

"We're delighted with the response we've had to the very first All About Stamps Competition, and very grateful to everyone who has taken the time to enter. What's been really encouraging for me is the number of entrants who have never entered a competition like this before; we always wanted this competition to be for everyone and that looks to have worked really well.

"Such was the success of the Competition, we're looking forward to holding the second AAS Competition on the website later this year."
