Ascension Island Titanic anniversary stamps

Ascension Island has issued four stamps and a souvenir sheet to commemorate the centenary of the sinking of RMS Titanic. The souvenir sheet has a £2 stamp which shows passengers abandoning the sinking Titanic in some of the few lifeboats, with the surrounding featuring a map of Titanic's ill-fated path across the Atlantic, along with the various ships which tried to come to her rescue, including the Californian and the Carpathia.

The four stamps feature the Titanic's departure (20p), boat deck (45p) with passengers strolling the deck or relaxing on deck chairs, the ship hitting the iceberg (50p) and the sinking of the ship (£1).
