Correios Brazil has issued two stamps to commemorate the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup staged every four years by FIFA. This year, Brazil is the tournament host for the contest, which runs from 15 to 30 June.

Brazil's status as a world leader in football is well known - the national side is the most successful in the history of the World Cup - having won the trophy a record five times, and reaching the final seven times in total.

The two stamps combine imagery relating to Brazil with Confederations Cup images. The first stamp has the official emblem of the 2013 Confederations Cup, which incorporates the national Brazilian bird the Rufous-bellied thrush, shown along with colours of the Brazil national flag. The second stamp carries an image of the gold-plated bronze Confederations Cup trophy.
