Canada Post's Spock stamp
Canada Post have kept stamp collectors and fans of the iconic 1960s science fiction TV show Star Trek on their toes this month, as they have gradually revealed stamp designs honouring characters including Captain James T Kirk, Spock and engineer ‘Scotty’.
Canada Post have kept fans of the iconic 1960s science fiction TV show Star Trek on their toes this month, as they have gradually revealed stamp designs honouring characters including Captain James T Kirk, Spock and engineer ‘Scotty’.
The first two stamps depict Captain Kirk (played by William Shatner) and the Starship USS Enterprise, respectively, and were revealed in a short video shown below.
A third stamp was revealed days later in Vulcan, Alberta, the town which shares its name with character Spock’s home planet. The second video reveals the stamp which shows a still of actor Leonard Nimoy in character as first officer Spock.

The fourth stamp, showing actor James Doohan as chief engineer Montgomery ‘Scotty’ Scott, was revealed on a Canadian breakfast television programme, while a fifth for Dr McCoy (played by DeForest Kelley) was revealed in London, Ontario.
