The Association of British Philatelic Societies (ABPS) is inviting collectors to enter forthcoming exhibitions in York and London, with September’s Stampex show now open to both competitive and non-competitive entries

Open to all-comers, whether resident in the United Kingdom or not, the ABPS York Fair 2016, National Exhibition will include all classes including Open Philately and Picture Postcards. The exhibition takes place at the popular York Stamp & Coin Fair being held on 15 and 16 July at the York Racecourse, York, YO23 1EX. The closing date for entries is 16 May, 2016.

Meanwhile, the ABPS Autumn Stampex 2016, National Exhibition will include all classes including Open Philately and Picture Postcards, while all British exhibitions are now open to non-competitive entries. An ABPS spokesperson said: ‘These may be wholly philatelic or made up of non-traditional material. If any collector would like to display material out of competition, just complete the entry form, tick the non-competitive box, and we will be pleased to see your display.’

Stampex will also feature specialist displays by GVI Society and a celebration of Cinderella Philately with the International Cinderella Congress. Volker Köppel will show his invited display of the German Philatelist Days, 1889-2013. Stampex will take place between 14 and 17 September at the Business Design Centre, 52 Upper Street, Islington, London N1 0QH, and the closing date for entries is 7 July, 2016.
