Great Britain Philatelic Society to celebrate sixtieth anniversary at Stampex

To celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the Great Britain Philatelic Society (GBPS), members are organising a series of special events and displays at February’s Stampex event in London.

Both United Kingdom residents and those from abroad are to take part in the ABPS competitions at Stampex and, together with non-competitive displays, the Society will be displaying in over 200 frames a very wide range of Great Britain related material.

Displays ranging from pre-stamp material up to the 21st Century will be on show.

The displays will be detailed in a special bumper edition of the Stampex catalogue, which will be given away free with the March issue of Stamp & Coin Mart.

Stampex takes place between 18 and 21 February 2015 at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London.

Throughout Stampex, GBPS meetings are to be held in the BDC at which visitors will be most welcome. In addition, the sister group The Great Britain Collectors Club of America will be presenting a display at the Royal Philatelic Society London for members. Non-philatelic social events have been organised to add to the celebrations.


Stampex is the UK's National Stamp Exhibition and is held twice a year at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London. The official show guide ids given away free with teh March issue of Stamp & Coin Mart.
