Hong Kong Post has issued six stamps featuring the different breeds of dog which work for various Hong Kong government departments ...

A new issue of six stamps from Hong Kong features the various dogs which work for Hong Kong government departments. Each of the dogs is shown alongside its handler, carrying out duties including quarantine inspection, narcotics interdiction, investigation and patrol, and safeguarding public safety.

Hong Kong's status as a major port and a centre of business and technology, which attracts millions of visitors and business people each year, means that the government relies on official working dogs as part of its duty to ensure the safety and security of residents and visitors alike. The working dogs are a familiar sight at Hong Kong's ports and airports and help to sniff out drug smugglers.
