Jersey Post's first stamp issue of 2013 features a selection of seasonal flowers shown covered in frost.
The six new stamps, issued by Jersey Post on 8 January, have been painted by artist Michael Pollard, who is well known for his children's book and natural history illustrations.
Melanie Gouzinis, philatelic product manager at Jersey Post, said: 'The research behind this particular stamp issue started with the advice of the late Margaret Long. A local botany expert, Margaret was a great source of information and, over the years, her contributions, both with ideas for subject matter and supportive text, have been invaluable.
During the last year we have been focusing on new stamp printing techniques and opportunities and we enjoyed international recognition with both of our Diamond Jubilee issues. We hope to continue in the same vein during 2013 and are looking forward to introducing new stamp designers during the year.
