The Netherlands have issued the first definitives featuring a portrait of the recently crowned King Willem-Alexander, and presented the designs to the King at a special ceremony at the The Hague’s Museum voor Communicatie.
The three definitive stamps each show the same portrait of the king, based on a photo taken by photographer Rineke Dijkstra, and designers have said the new designs were influenced by the first Dutch stamp of 1852.
