Royal Mail has revealed the designs of its 2014 Christmas stamps, which celebrate festive British traditions.

Design company True North have commissioned artist and illustrator Andrew Bannecker to create illustrations of British family traditions, including carol singing and buying a Christmas tree.

Royal Mail’s Christmas stamps feature secular and religious imagery in alternate years and this year, the Madonna and Child religious stamp will be available as an alternative to the secular designs.

A first day cover, presentation pack and personalised smiler sheets are also available. The Tallents House handstamp carries a graphic representation of a Christmas tree, while the alternative handstamp, bearing the location of Bethlehem, Llandeilo, features a robin.
