This has been an exciting few weeks for collectors, with lots of new stamps and coins, many issued to mark landmark anniversaries.

RECORD-BREAKING MONARCH

The Queen's anniversary as Britain's longest reigning monarch has been marked by celebrations around Britain and in the Commonwealth Countries. Collectors awaiting Royal Mail's commemoration of the anniversary could finally find out about the special miniature sheet, whose release had been 'shrouded in secrecy'. Find out more in our special video report which includes details and images of the five new stamps - and enjoy our expert look at how Machin definitives have changed over the years, in the October issue of Stamp & Coin Mart, available from our website.

We also asked leading experts to select their favourite QEII stamp from the Queen's long reign - find out what they picked in the September issue of Stamp & Coin Mart.

Several other countries have issued commemorative stamps and coins, including Jersey, with a four-stamp collection of royal portraits; a landmark issue from Gibraltar, featuring the use of 22ct gold as well as the first ever use of the wording 'Queen of Gibraltar' on a stamp; and a commemorative Cupro Nickel Crown from Pobjoy Mint on behalf of the Isle of Man.
