The late singer and songwriter Robin Gibb CBE, a member of the Bee Gees, is being honoured on a set of eight stamps issued by the Isle of Man.

The eight stamps, ranging from 2p to £1.78 in value, reproduce the covers of Gibb’s solo albums, including the LP 50 St Catherine’s Drive, named after Gibb’s first home on the Isle, which is set to be released later this year.

Robin Gibb died in May 2012 after a battle with cancer.

A spokesperson for Isle of Man Stamps & Coins said: ‘Robin Gibb is one of the Isle of Man’s most famous citizens. Although worldly known as a member of the Bee Gees along with his two brothers, Robin also carved an impressive solo career.’

The stamps, printed by Lowe-Martin, were issued on 24 April.
