The Vietnam Post has issued a stamp to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the Asian Pacific Postal Union. ...

Vietnam Post's fiftieth anniversary of the Asian Pacific Postal Union (APPU) stamp features a large '50' logo, along with the dates 1/4/1962 - 1/4/2012 along with a map of the world, the logo of the APPU and a red ribbon.

The Union is an inter-governmental organisation of 32 postal administrations of the Asian Pacific region, with headquarters in Bangkok. It is affiliated to the Universal Postal Union and works to 'extend, facilitate and improve postal relations between member countries and to promote cooperation on the field of postal services'. Members meet through a Congress, Executive Council and through a Bureau, through which members can liaise, train and gain information.
