Raymond Brigg's character the Snowman and the Snowdog are making an appearance on a set of Isle of Man stamps and on special 50p and 1 crown coins.
The six stamps show a variety of scenes from the short film, including the eponymous heroes posing with Father Christmas, in flight with their human friend Billy, and making the most of the snowy conditions with some sledging and skiing action.

The stamps can be purchased on a first day cover and in a presentation pack, which includes a synopsis of the story and some background on Brigg’s work. ‘We hope these lovely stamps bring something of the charm of the story and do justice to Raymond Brigg’s original vision,’ the text in the presentation pack concludes.
