Edward VIII was only on the throne from 20 January until 10 December 1936, when he abdicated, but the small range of stamps bearing his portrait are eagerly collected.

The British definitive Edward VIII stamps were issued as follows:

  • 12d green (issued on 1 September 1936)
  • ​1 12d brown (issued on 1 September 1936)
  • ​2 12d blue (issued on 1 September 1936)
  • 1d red (issued on 14 September 1936)
