Guernsey Post commemorates fifty years since the investiture of Prince Charles as Prince of Wales at Caernarfon Castle on 1 July 1969.

An estimated 500 million people worldwide watched the colourful investiture ceremony, which took place on 1 July 1969 at Caernarfon Castle in Wales.

4,000 special investiture chairs were made for the ceremony, which were manufactured by disabled workers at the Remploy factory in Bridgend.  The chair backs were embossed with the Prince of Wales's feathers in gold leaf and the seats upholstered in red Welsh tweed.

The miniature sheet holds a £2 stamp showing Prince Charles on the day of his investiture along with the dates 1969-2019. The sheet border has the Prince of Wales feathers with a gold, black and white colour scheme. A first day cover and presentation pack are also available.
