Jersey Post Celebrates Golfing Great Harry Vardon
2020 marks the 150th birth anniversary of Jersey born golfing legend, Harry Vardon. A set of six stamps features portraits of the world-renowned golfer throughout his career. A Miniature Sheet features a photograph of Vardon and Ted Ray, a fellow Jerseyman and dual Open winner, who won the US Open in 1920. A stunning, limited edition 24-carat gold plated souvenir coin features the design of Vardon’s medal from his first win at The Open in 1896.
