This fifteen-page display of the work of French stamp designer Pierre Becquet, presented by David Roseveare, highlights his precise engraving of designs for many of the issues of the French Antarctic Territories.
The French artist Pierre Béquet who died in 2012 was one of the most talented stamp creators of the modern period. He produced over 700 stamps for many countries and during the 1960s he emerged as the principal designer for the French Southern and Antarctic Territories.
