Enjoy the recording of this special webinar focussing on Europa stamps, as part of the Collectors' Conference on Modern Stamps.
Held via Zoom, the webinar featured a special presentation from PostEurop Stamps & Philately Working Group Chair & Vice-Chair – Agnieszka Trząskowska (Poczta Polska) & Emile Espen (Post Luxembourg).
The presentation is followed by a Q&A session.
Since 1956, Europa stamps have been a symbol of Europe’s desire for closer integration and cooperation. These special stamps are issued by European postal administrations and bear the 'EUROPA' logo.
Each year a new Europa theme is announced, challenging post offices to come up with unique designs on the chosen subject. The theme for 2021 is Endangered national wildlife.
Since 1993, PostEurop has been the responsible organisation for issuing EUROPA stamps and each year, philately experts within the Philately Working Group organise the competition amongst other philately initiatives.
