Iceland Post combines photos and QR codes

Iceland Post has issued details of its Europa 2012 stamps, on the theme of 'Visit...'. The stamps, designed by Elsa Neilsen, feature the Northern Lights and one of Iceland's famous hot geysers, incorporated into a QR code, a device which can hold more information than a traditional barcode. The issue is Iceland's contribution to the Europa 2012 'Visit...' theme which invites participating stamp authorities to issue stamps enticing tourists to visit their country.
