Virtual Stampex from the Philatelic Traders’ Society will take place from 4 to 6 May. It’s been timed to celebrate King Charles III’s Coronation weekend and the anniversary of the very first postage stamp, the Penny Black.
Sponsored by Spink, Virtual Stampex 2023 will run for 72 hours with more than 50 dealer booths, an exhibiting experience and Stampex Talks.
A new feature this year is a philatelic matchmaking tool so visitors can meet and video chat with collectors with similar interests or find a dealer with relevant material. There are also live philatelic roundtables for panel discussions, collector clinics and the chance to meet big philatelic names in an informal setting.
Improved technology means the event is fully integrated, with live chat and video calling available across the event. The virtual briefcase feature will enable visitors to email themselves all relevant catalogues, information packs, price lists etc. Virtual Stampex will also be available via an App, and available on demand for 30 days after the live dates.
In 2020 and 2021, Virtual Stampex attracted over 8,000 unique visitors from over 100 countries. Stampex 2023 will take place at the Business Design Centre in London, 27-30 September.
