Luxembourg have issued a stamp in honour og Madeleine Frieden-Kinnen, the first female minister in the nation's history.
Born on 4 October 1915 in Esch-sur-Alzette, Madelaine Frieden-Kinnen was the first woman in Luxembourg to become a member of the government when, on 3 January 1967, she was appointed as State Secretary for Families, Social Solidarity, Youth, Population, Education, and Culture.
