$30 million Pink Ribbon fundraising stamp now issued by Austria

Austria Post has announced the release of a Pink Ribbon stamp which will raise funds for the Austria Cancer Aid Society. The first Pink Ribbon stamp was issued in 1996 by Dr Ernie Bodai and since then, stamps issued by countries including the USA, Hungary and Kenya have raised $30 million towards breast cancer research.

Austria's stamp is designed by American artist Whitney Sherman and the 90 euro stamp carries a 10 euro surcharge which goes direct to Austria's cancer charity. A corresponding metal postcard is also available which also raise funds for the charity.
