Luxembourg marks 75 years since the foundation of the United Nations, in June 1945.

In June 1945, after World War II, 50 states united in San Francisco to found the United Nations.

Today, 193 States from all over the world are members of the United Nations and attempt to defuse conflicts in the world peacefully and through multilateral exchanges, to find solutions together and to promote human rights.

Luxembourg is a founding member of the United Nations and has assumed responsibilities at the highest level on several occasions over the years.
