New Monaco stamp commemorates the 1962 Constitution

Prince Ranier III proclaimed Monaco as a constitutional monarchy on December 17, 1962

The 1962 constitution abolished the death penalty and officially enshrined principles and symbols to which the Principality is very attached: the state religion, the national flag and the official language.

The new stamp has been designed by Sarah Lazarevic from documents from the archives of the People's Palace. 

It has a value of €1.16. The issue will consist ot 40,000 stamps. Sheets of ten stamps with illuminations are available.
