The Channel Island of Alderney has issued six stamps featuring the Tiger Moth , with illustrations by wildlife artist Petula Stone. The stamps feature six of the ten species of Tiger Moth which can be found on Alderney. Each stamp features a different species of Tiger Moth, shown against a background of an Alderney scene.

David Wedd of the Alderney Wildlife Trust said: 'Tiger Moths include some of the most brilliantly coloured insects to be found in the British Isles. They belong to a large and diverse family of moths called Artiidae with some 11,000 species found all over the world.
