Australia Post launches second issue of Road Trip stamps

Australia Post has issued five new stamps in its Road Trip Australia series. Part II of the series focuses on urban destinations with stamps featuring Sydney, Melbourne, the Gold Coast, Adelaide and Canberra.

Illustrater Gavin Ryan has created 'offbeat cameos' of the popular destinations, with cartoon-style drawings on each of the 60c stamps which show:

• A caravan making its way through a busy Adelaide street
• A pink cadillac arriving in Canberra
• A funfair by the beach at the Gold Coast
• A four-wheel drive vehicle at Sydney's famous harbour
• A car with surfboard arriving at the pier in Melbourne

The stamps are part of a product portfolio which also includes a stamp and coin cover, souvenir pack, stamp pack, stamp booklet, mini sheet, maxicard, cheque book and first day cover.
