Austria's newest stamps celebrate the 2013 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, to be held in the country from 4 to 17 February. The three stamps, by Austrian artist Christian Ludwig Attersee, feature colourful depictions of skiers, painted in the artist's trademark figural-to-symbolic style.

The three stamps are titled Freedom in the Snow, Styrian Heart and Slalom Dance and are intended to convey the 'passion, exuberance and elegance' of skiing.
