The host nation of the 2015 Netball World Cup has issued a special stamp to mark the tournament.

Sixteen nations will take part in this year's Netball World Cup, which is being held in Sydney from 7 to 16 August 2015. This is Australia's third time hosting the event, since it began in 1963 - Sydney was host in 1991, whilst Perth hosted the second ever Netball World Cup in 1967.

The stamp, designed by Jo Mure of the Australia Post Design Studio, is a 70c value which features the official 2015 tournament logo. A postal and numismatic cover and a maxicard are also available.

Australia has a good record in the World Cup, as netball is the most popular women's sport in the country. The country's team, the Australian Diamonds, is ranked as the world's number one in the International Netball Federation world rankings.

THE ULTIMATE PRIZE

Australia Post Philatelic Manager, Michael Zsolt said: 'The Netball World Cup is the ultimate prize in international netball and with nations competing from around the world, it is also a celebration of diversity. This stamp will provide the public and netball fans with a unique memento of this major international event.'
