Collectors have plenty to look forward over the coming months, including the recent news that Royal Mail will be issuing a set of Star Wars stamps on 20 October. The eighteen stamps celebrate the Star Wars series of films and mark the forthcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. INNOVATIVE FIVE SENSES STAMPS

If you like your stamps high-tech, then you'll love An Post's new 'five senses' stamps, which are featured in November's issue of Stamp & Coin Mart. The stamps feature a number of different innovative designs including strawberry-flavoured adhesive gum, thermochromic ink which changes colour when touched, and an ‘eye’ graphic on an otherwise transparent stamp.

EXCLUSIVE REMEMBRANCE DAY FIRST DAY COVER

The British Forces Philatelic Service (BFPS) are set to issue a commemorative cover featuring specially commissioned artwork, to mark Remembrance Day later this month and the BFPS has also produced a limited edition version of the cover especially for Stamp & Coin Mart, which will be given away free to the first fifty readers who subscribe to the magazine. LONDON 2020

Organisers have confirmed that a major international stamp exhibition will take place at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London from 2 May to 9 May, 2020.

This event will be a full international exhibition with competitive classes in Traditional, Postal History, Thematic, Revenue, Postal Stationery, Aerophilately, Open, Literature and Youth. Stamp & Coin Mart will be working closely with the organising committee of the London 2020 event and reporting on developments as plans progress.
