The nativity theme is celebrated with Guernsey Post, who have added a welcome twist to this well-loved topic with stamps featuring the art of paper cutting.
Guernsey artist Denyse McGahy produced designs using several layers to give depth to her nativity illustrations, showing the separate journeys to Bethlehem made by Mary and Joseph, the shepherds and the three wise men.
The result is seven stamps each for Guernsey and Alderney, in a blue and purple colourway respectively, as well as a £1 Alderney miniature sheet in a circular paper cut design.
