Two new stamps with a gambling theme have been issued in the series featuring posters of movies filmed in Monaco

The €1.80 stamp issue shows the poster for 1957 film The Monte Carlo Story.

The Italo-American film directed by Samuel A. Taylor starred Marlene Dietrich and Vittorio De Sica in the story of a penniless gambler who sets out to seduce and marry a French aristocrat whom he believes to be wealthy.

The €2.20 stamp issue features the poster for Trente et Quarante, a 1946 French musical comedy also on themes of love, money and gambling directed by Gilles Grangier. It starred Georges Guétary, Martine Carole and André Alerme.
