The 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II has been marked by Gibraltar Post, who have issued a celebratory set of ten stamps and associated products.

'Queen Elizabeth II 90th Birthday', designed by Stephen Perera, looks ahead to the Queen's actual 90th birthday on 21 April and her official birthday on 21 June, which this year will be celebrated on the weekend of 10-12 June, with a street party on The Mall, a service of thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral and a birthday parade with participation by the Army, Navy, RAF, charities associated with the Queen, and 900 horses - reflecting the Queen's life and interests.

Guernsey Post's first nine stamps feature black and white photographs of the Queen during each decade of her life, beginning with a 12p stamp showing the Queen as a young girl, in the days when she was the eldest of daughter of the Duke of York, the second of King George V - a man who was not expected to inherit the throne. The Queen is then shown as a teenager during wartime, and at different points during her long reign, with trips overseas to the different countries of the Commonwealth. The final stamp (£5) features a colour portrait of the young queen. All the stamps carry the wording '90th birthday Gibraltar'.

The issue also comprises a first day cover, presentation pack, and Limited Edition Card.
