Three in-depth, expert lectures are set to take place on 17th September at the Stampex event in London. ...

The three special talks will take place on Saturday 17 September, 2011, from 11am, and have been arranged by the Stamp & Coin Mart team in association with the Stampex organisers.

The lectures will be free to attend, and each attendee will also receive a free magazine and be entered into a free prize draw. The lectures will be on the following subjects:

11am - Peter Lister of Kelleher Auctions describes the story of the 1911 Coronation Aerial Post
Peter describes the story using material from his own collection

12.30pm - World War Two codebreakers
Members of Bletchley Park Post Office describe the secret wartime post office in use at the home of the World War Two codebreakers

2pm - Collecting Concorde
Brian Asquith, Chairman of The Concorde Study group, shares his acclaimed collection of Concorde stamps and related material

Matt Hill, Editor of Stamp & Coin Mart said: ‘We are very excited to be working with the Stampex organisers on this new project. The talks will give visitors a chance to learn more about a philatelic subject and will be delivered by some of the country’s leading experts. I’m really looking forward to hearing the talks myself and meeting collectors at this new event.’

Stampex takes place between 14 and 17 September at the Business Design Centre, Islington London.
