Take a gamble on new Films Shot in Monaco stamps

Two new stamps with a gambling theme have been issued in the series featuring posters of movies filmed in Monaco

The €1.80 stamp issue shows the poster for 1957 film The Monte Carlo Story. 

The Italo-American film directed by Samuel A. Taylor starred Marlene Dietrich and Vittorio De Sica in the story of a penniless gambler who sets out to seduce and marry a French aristocrat whom he believes to be wealthy. 

The €2.20 stamp issue features the poster for Trente et Quarante, a 1946 French musical comedy also on themes of love, money and gambling directed by Gilles Grangier. It starred Georges Guétary, Martine Carole and André Alerme.

Each stamp is issued in limited quantities of 36,000.
